Kristen Payne and Sean Day

— Kristen Payne and Sean Day were wed at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 2011, at Sharon Baptist Church, Flora, by Ron Russell, uncle of the bride. A reception followed at Oakbrook Valley Park.

She is the daughter of Phil and Sherry Payne, Flora. She graduated in 2001 from Northwestern High School and in 2005 from University of Southern Indiana with a degree in elementary education. She is an assistant in special needs at Western High School and the YMCA Day Care.

He is the son of the late James and Joan Day, Bay Shore, N.Y. His honorary parents are Bernie and Eva Zalata, Long Beach, N.Y. He graduated in 1992 from Bay Shore High School and in 2002 from Word of Life Bible Institute with a degree in youth ministries and Bible studies. He works at Mark’s Friendly Cab.

The matron of honor was Emily Trine, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jonna Sullivan, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Mackenzie Collins, friend of the bride.

The best man was Bob Gardner, friend of the groom. Groomsman was Derek Packard, friend of the groom. Ushers were Patrick Trine, brother-in-law of the bride and Paul Weaver, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Dylan Collins, friend of the bride.

After a honeymoon to Michigan City, the couple resides in Kokomo.
