She is the daughter of James C. Teipen, Alamo, Calif.; and Janet and Anton Braun, Indianapolis. She graduated from Greenwood Community High School in 1994 and from Purdue University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She is a quality assurance manager at Eli Lilly & Co., Indianapolis.
He is the son of Ted and Linda Smith, Carmel. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1987 and from Indiana University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. He is a reporter at the Kokomo Tribune.
