Jennifer Blackburn DeLaney and Michael W. Carpenter were married Aug. 25, 2012, in a ceremony officiated by Michael Vasiley, best friend of the groom. The bride was escorted by her two sons, Shawn L. Blackburn and Clayton L. Blackburn.
She is the daughter of Maynelle Blackburn, Hemlock, and the late Verlon L. Blackburn. She is an office/property manager for Sandlian Management Corp./U-Stor Self Storage.
He is the son of Keith and Terri Carpenter, Kokomo. He is a route sales distributor for Frito-Lay and assistant office/property manager for Sandlian Management Corp./U-stor Self Storage.
Standing with the bride were her two daughters, Miranda N. Robinson and Alexandra J. DeLaney. The groom’s son, Jordan Carpenter, and “adopted son,” Huston Clark, were his best men.
The couple enjoyed a “family-moon” in Daytona Beach, Fla., with the daughters of the bride and the parents of the groom. The couple reside in Indianapolis and have plans to move to Avon in June.
