Debbie Pennachio and Mike Slabaugh were wed at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 5, 2011, at Lighthouse Point Yacht & Raquet Club, officiated by the Rev. Ray. A reception followed at the club.
She is the daughter of Joseph Pennachio, Tamarac, Fla., and Marilyn Pennachio, Deerfield Beach, Fla. She graduated from Florida International University with a master’s degree in reading. She is a third-grade teacher.
He is the son of Joe and Marty Slabaugh. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1993 and from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. He is an elementary art teacher.
The maid of honor was Deidra Walkowaik, friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Tori Pennachio, sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was Kailey Pennachio, niece of the bride.
The best man was Brad Slabaugh, brother of the groom. The groomsman was Frank Pennachio, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Joseph Pennachio, nephew of the bride.
After taking an Alaskan cruise in June 2011, the couple resides in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
